    Mid-1840's Man in Top Hat-1/6th Plate Daguerreotype Full Case-Original Weak Spine. Maker unknown. Wonderful image of a well to do mid-1840's man wearing top hat!! Photo is pristine! Clear with no scratches or even the faintest hairline! Full case with strong latch but case does have some staining back and front. Spine is weak but original-no repairs. There is an area 3/4th's from the bottom of the spine that you can see through when case is opened. Pics show this. Case closes perfectly and latches perfectly as well. I have never removed the photo from the case, so I don't know about any seals. Shipped with Priority Mail in a strong, sturdy box. Will take the utmost care in packaging!!!
