    Description

    Collection of five ambrotypes. 3 of Charles Parker Newell (1837-1925) and 2 of Luzetta Augusta Shaw Newell (1839-1911). One case is marked Chace & Hawes and one marked Dunshee. The hinges are all broken except for the one that the paint is pealing off the back of the negative image. One case ((Charles with fur collar) the sides are apart and needs glueing. Lovely images of Luzetta, one larger ambrotype in c1860 dress, and the other of her reading a book. These came with the old cards identifying the sitters. Large case is 3 3/4” by 4 3/4” smaller are all about the same size, 3 1/8” by 3 5/8”.
